What is the best free password manager?

Bitwarden is the best free password manager. The free plan stores unlimited passwords and syncs across every device, it is open source, and its security is regularly audited by outside firms. Proton Pass is a strong free alternative. Your browser's built-in password manager is far better than reusing passwords.
